A Little Bit of This and That

I started on the Pine Mountain bee stitch.  Yea me!

The woodpeckers are not the only birds fledging.
Here's a family of Lesser Goldfinches.

Fledged House Finch

Another House Finch

A handsome male Evening Grosbeak with a goldfinch in flight behind...

The deer fence has become a favored perched.

"Wack-hoo-hoo" - the territorial call of a male California Quail.

I was happy to see and hear a Bewick's Wren in the backyard.

They are on the property, but are infrequent visitors to the backyard.

This one posed nicely...and snag a pretty song too.

Such a joy.

At 8:30pm Tuesday evening a small flock of Cedar Waxwings flew in.

Not very good photos as the light was low, but always a pleasure to see these birds.

Yay--still stitching! Good! You have Lesser Goldfinch fledglings? Awesome! I know, I am obsessed about them. Yesterday, we saw three Brown Thrashers on the fence, and two were smaller. Tis the season! Hugs!
