A Recent Winter Walk

Parvati said she'd be happy to be our tour guide on a Winter Walk...

Knotted Tree - "Winter Walk" - border

To start with, here is two evening's worth of stitching on Knotted Tree's "Winter Walk".  The border is taking a while as it calls for constant changes of colors, but I think it is going to be stunning...and I am so pleased, after kitting this up over a year ago, to have (finally) begun working on it.

The California Quail were out and about enjoying a Winter Walk.  I've tallied two groups totally about 16 quail.  Parvati agrees that my count is reasonably accurate.

A Grey Squirrel was quite happy to gorge on sunflower seeds.  We have two or three Grey Guys who hang around munching on any seeds the birds or deer overlook.

This small female Downy Woodpecker waited in the mullein for me to refill the suet feeder.

And now that we've returned home...
Yawn...stretch...

Parvati says it's time for a cat-nap!
